Signature Look for Autumn 2012

Aloha All,

Here we go with my current autumn signature look - this routine works so well for me and I got so many complimens on my complexion lately (guess it is because I still have a bit of a tan from my holidays).
Oh, and of course I can recommend all products absolutely!

Prep:

- Cleansing Wipes - Soap&Glory & Yes to cucumbers ( liked them but aren't too fussed about those, cheaper ones do the job just as nicely)

- Cotton pads w/ Rival de Loop Cleanser with cucumber extract (cooling!)

- Kiehl'sUltra Facial Oil-free Lotion (at night the ultra facial cream to really moisturize my skin)
- Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment (with avocado)

Face:

- Rival de Loop Tanning Lotion mixed with with essence tinted moisturizer in light to medium

- Dallas blush by benefit

- Hoola bronzer by benefit for contouring
- P2 Argentinia Powder Trio for setting
- Brushes are all by Real Techniques (omg, how could I live without them?...awesomeness purely)

Eyes:

- MUA e/s base (so impressed!)

- Catrice "Oh, it's toffeeful" e/s all over lid OR Sleek MakeUp "Storm" & "Paraguaya" palettes (light shades all over lid, brown ones for defining and adding depth )
- Sleek MakeUp e/s "Stone" for a nice upper lashline colour)
- Optional Maybelline Black eyeliner (+ brush wich was in the kit - it is adorable)

- Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara in Blackbrown + Avon lentghening mascara (yellow packaging from a magazine)

- e.l.f. highlighter palette (beige-rosé shade in use) OR High beam by benefit (honestly I think the e.l.f. palette is a perfect dupe for the benefit highlighters but at a much more affordable budget + you get 4 colours at once!!!)

- Eye lash curler by e.l.f. cosmetics (best one in my opinion!)

Lips:

- For care: Kaufmann’s Haut-& Kindercreme & Burt's Bees chap stick in hibiscus

- For actually colouring: Sleek MakeUp Pout Polish in electric peach (washed out red look), Tana lipstick (changes colour & matching your skintone - stays in lips forever, seriously) or Coralista by Catrice

Brushes:

- Real techniques (Stippling, blush, doomed shadow, setting, multitask, powder, expert & essential foundation)

- Zoeva bamboo set or e.l.f. blending brush for –surprise- blending

Nails:
- I Eat Mainly Lobster by O.P.I + 67 make it golden by exxence on the ringfinger
- Barefoot in Barcelona by O.P.I + Pinky And The Brain by Catrice (on the pinkie one as it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!!) 


You see it is a lot more than what I wore before but I quite like to use more products as it is always pure joy for me to put on everything in the morning. I celebrate my makeup session every morning listening to music and humming and dancing around while putting on the fun girl stuff :)

Signature Look August/ September 2012

Aloha All,

My look for August/ September was pretty simple as I was travelling a lot and or I was too lazy to apply any more as it was quite hot:

Prep:

- Cleansing Wipes - Soap&Glory & Yes to cucumbers

- Cotton pads w/ Rival de Loop Cleanser with cucumber extract (cooling!)

- Kiehl'sUltra Facial Oil-Free Lotion + Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment

Face:

- Maybelline BB Cream in light/medium with SPF 30  mixed with essence tinted moisturizer in medium/ dark (as I tanned well)

- P2 summer love blush in summer flirt or non at all

- P2 Argentinia Powder Trio for setting, contouring & highlighting (love this mulifunctional products)

Eyes:

- Alverde brow pencil in 01 blonde to fill in my brows
- Alverde Concealer as e/s base and generally to even out the area

[- Rarely CoverGirl Trio Shimmering Sands or when I didn't use any e/s I went for Maybelline Black eyeliner (+ brush wich was in the kit - adorable)]

- Chanel testing mascara (I think it was inimitable intense - I liked it a lot but hink it is too expensive for the effect) + Avon lentghening mascara (yellow packaging, it was in a magazine I bought at London-Stansted airport while on business travels = LOVE it)

- Eye lash curler by e.l.f. cosmetics

Lips:

- Burt's Bees chap stick in hibiscus or Sleek MakeUp Pout Polish in electric peach (washed out red look with SPF15!!!)


That's it :) But now looking back it even seems to be a lot ... anyways - I enjoyed that simple look!
However with the autumn to arrive I will need a bit more colour in my face to look alive ... stay tuned for that!

High Five # 11 ~ Colours

Aloha All,

I know, it sounds a bit trivial with just naming colours but nevertheless I will do it because I just feel like it.

So let the colour-play begin:

The ultimate most beautiful colours in my eyes are green and coral! OMG, how much do I love these colours and to be honest I mean all aspects of them.

I LOVE khaki, muddy-green, emerald-green, lime-green, wood-green, jungle-green, petrol (more on the green side), light-green, …

I LOVE all colours of the sun (going up & down) so coral, peachypink, yellow, orangy, red orange-red, lilac-coral-peachy-pink, and on and on and on …

J I know, I know – that is not really a top 5 but that is simply it

High Five # 10 ~ Tea

Aloha All,

I am not born in a culture of tea. That is something I might state at the very beginning to make sure I am not haunted by the ones really reaching for tea for all there life and knowing good from bad. ;-) But I do like tea a lot and basically that is why I bring this up into my favourites list.

So enjoy my selection and let me know if you like one or the other as well!

My best start in an exhausting day is with Twinings Everyday. It just gives me the extra portion relaxation I  need to begin my daily struggles.

Next comes Twinings Revive & Revitalise (Lemon & Ginger), which is the ultimate secret in the afternoon when you are exhausted from work. I found this little beloved tradition of mine when I was in business meetings in the UK for literally days without sunlight, breaks or anything – it was just hard negotiations, but this instantly refreshed me and brought my mind back on track!

Absolutely love it ever since!

In the evening I tried it with Twinings A Moment Of Calm (pure camomile) and it worked as well as the family member in the afternoon.

In general (and I am not too loyal to any brands in this) I love fennel-anise-caraway tea. It is incredible if you have stomach aches but also just to calm down and get a step slower.

And the very best is Fresh Peppermint Tea!!! Yay, this is something I even order when I am out at night (boring – I know but I can live with being a bit nerdy). So refreshing and good!
